Safety Moment: (Safety Director – Rich Diamond)
It was reported on the web that someone’s front flying wires on their Wills Wing Sport 2 (nose wires) came off on a high wind launch. Our Safety Director noted that many years ago WW put an adapter to eliminate that ever happening. So it was determined this was pilot error.

Incident with a local pilot injured himself on a XC flight in Florida. Low slow on landing on a topless glider is the cause of the accident. The pilot rang his bell pretty good and injured his knee. Remember focus on your landings and commit yourself to it. Low saves are great but be sure you have your landing VG set and you keep good maneuvering speed. Nothing spoils a great flight faster than horrible landing – particularly if you get injured.

Treasury Report: (Treasurer Read Bixby)
HHPA currently have $2075.08.

Working on getting HHPA to be officially a Non-Profit – with tax filing, and he will do the initial application.

There were some bylaw changes to set the meeting times as agreed upon.

USHPA Report:
Store closed because it was costing more money than the profits

Information:

We are selling the club winch to Jeff Hunt for $1. This will keep the winch in Texas and used for hang gliding. Nate will arrange the exchange with Jeff. This releases HHPA from liability.

CU needs help digging holes for a sunshade it will erect. We briefly thought of building a deck however that idea became price prohibitive.

We were given permission by the airport to take the large NDB antenna poles down that are on the northeast side of the field. Any help with that project would be greatly appreciated.

The Pilot Lounge is getting moved to the back and onto the field so it will get more use.

Flight Report:
Henry had a quasi-low save in that he hung out at a few hundred feet above the LZ for a long time – not coming down but the lift was not strong enough to climb out either. Well done Henry.

Please excuse the delay in getting this report out. It will be more prompt next time.
